QS World University Rankings: UMS named the Top Nine Universities in Indonesia for Three Successive Years

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) University Rankings has released the survey results on the world university rankings on Thursday, June 8, 2017. This year, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) re-entered the top nine universities in Indonesia. It is evidence that UMS manages to maintain its performance as the best Private University in Indonesia.

QS World University is a ranking of universities in the world conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British company engaged in educational sphere. The ranking issued by QS becomes one of the most commonly used referrals in line with Academic Ranking or World Universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

In measuring the institutional quality of universities in Indonesia toward World Class University, QS becomes the official ranking that is referenced by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia.

This year, QS carried out an assessment on 84 countries with a total of more than 959 universities. The QS ranking is done based on six indicators including: Academic reputation, Employer reputation, Faculty/student ratio, Citation per Faculty, International Faculty and International Students.

The achievement obtained by UMS is a proof that UMS can maintain its performances and quality towards World Class University by 2021.
