Institute for Scientific Publication Development (LPPI) of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) presented an International Scientific Article Workshop. This event held for two days: Monday-Tuesday, October 14-15 2019, and located on the 7th floor of the Main Building UMS, Siti Walidah. LPPI invited Prof. Dr. Uda Hashim from Perlis University Malaysia as the Keynote Speaker in the workshop.
Uda Hashim explained that composing international scientific articles is extremely easy. On the first day of the presentation, Uda Hashim explains how to create scientific articles easily with simple approaches and guidance to produce scientific articles that qualified to be published. Besides scientific articles, other outputs from their writing can be used as material for making books, magazines, newspapers, and others.
Chair of the organizer of this International Scientific Article Workshop, Wisnu Setiawan, Ph.D. revealed that this event was a series of 4th article writing activities.
"There are 3 workshops, each take 4 days and held in Malaysia. Incidentally, this event (the 4th) will be divided into 2 entourage, 2 days held in Indonesia (UMS) the rest 2 days will hold in Malaysia at the end of October. " said Wisnu
This activity aimed to make participants overcome to compose international scientific articles well and qualified to be published in international journals. "For the series of this event that held in Malaysia, besides inviting Prof. Uda Hashim, there will be other speakers, because they focused more on the practice of composing international scientific articles." concluded the Chairperson of LPPI UMS.
The importance of composing international scientific articles in the academic environment is an attractive reason for lecturers to join this event. It can be seen from the number of attendant on the first day. Most of them are lecturer, it hits around 80 participants, especially UMS lecturers. But this event is not intended only for lecturers but, available for the public who want to know about composing international scientific articles.
It is hoped that after this event they will be able to compose international scientific articles by well and qualified to be published as international journals, at least Scopus.
