Two lecturers and 19 students of Health Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (FIK UMS) conducted the Academic and Exchange Program at Khon Kaen Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Thailand, for nine days (3-12 February 2020).
"This is part of the collaboration with one of the university in Thailand. We depart with a special briefing," said Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Multazimah, yesterday.
According to him, the activity was an MoU implementation that had been mutually agreed upon. The collaboration was arranged and agreed on November 13, 2019. "The response from both parties was quite good," he explained.
Meanwhile, the two accompanying lecturers are Mitoriana Purosia, S.KM., MSc from the Public Health Study Program and Luluk Ria Rahma, S.Gz., M.Gz from the Nutrition Science Study Program. While the students who participated in this opportunity were a total of 19 students, 14 are students of the Public Health study program and the rest 5 persons are Nutrition Sciences students.
"Our main goal to delegate them is to learn and share the expertise of lecturers and student learning both in classrooms, laboratories and practice of health services around Khon Kaen," Mutalazimah, Dean of FIK, said.
One of the students who took part in the program, Evi Elvira, said she was very happy and fortunate to get the opportunity to study at this well-known university in Thailand. "I am very happy to join this program because I can share the knowledge, experience, and be able to learn new languages," she explained.
