This course aims to equip students with the skills necessary to write research proposals that can serve as the foundation for their research paper. Students will present their research proposals, receive feedback from their peers and course supervisors, and improve their proposals accordingly.

• 1. Understanding the basic concepts of linguistic research and creating a research proposal that meets academic standards.
• 2. Identifying and formulating research problems in the field of linguistics systematically and critically.
• 3. 3. Developing the background and research methods that are theory-based and relevant to the research problem.
• 4. Writing citations and references according to the applicable academic standards.
• 5. Prepare, develop, and present linguistic research proposals in good and correct academic English.
