Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has taken significant steps toward becoming a world-class university through its prestigious International Priority Scholarship (IPS) program. The university has announced that a select group of prospective students have advanced to the next stage of the selection process.

Candidates who have been selected will now proceed to the interview stage. This step is crucial for determining the scholarship recipients, which aims to attract top international talent to the university.

Selected candidates are advised to check their email for further instructions and confirmation details regarding the interview process. It is important for candidates to respond promptly to confirm their participation and prepare for the interview.

This news was welcomed by the Head of the UMS Office of Collaboration and International Affairs (BKUI), Andy Dwi Bayu Bawono, Ph.D., on Wednesday (5/6/2024). Andy stated that the number of applicants had increased significantly, with prospective international students not only studying in undergraduate programs but also in master’s, and doctoral programs.

This scholarship is part of UMS strategy to enhance its international presence. It is a highly competitive program offering financial assistance to students from Muslim developing countries. The scholarship provides financial support, cultural exchange opportunities, and access to the university’s resources and facilities.

UMS commitment to internationalization is reflected in its scholarship programs and curriculum, partnerships with universities worldwide, and a wide range of international student services. By creating an inclusive and supportive environment, UMS ensures that international students can thrive academically and socially.
