To strengthen the coordination and implementation of sustainability initiatives across the university, UMS established the SDGs Center as a dedicated institutional platform. The university utilizes a web-based Sustainability Dashboard that provides real-time and historical monitoring of UI GreenMetric key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling evidence-based decision-making and continuous performance evaluation. To ensure reliable implementation of sustainability initiatives, UMS is supported by campus-wide Wi-Fi infrastructure monitored through the Observium network management platform, redundant internet connectivity from multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs), real-time service availability (SLA) monitoring, and automated system request tracking for rapid incident response. Furthermore, UMS maintains a robust data backup system that continuously synchronizes institutional data to a centralized data lake, ensuring data security, service continuity, and reliable access to sustainability information. Collectively, these ICT-enabled systems strengthen institutional governance by supporting efficient sustainability planning, transparent monitoring, data-driven evaluation, and continuous improvement across the university's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has established a comprehensive digital transformation policy to leverage advanced digital technologies in enhancing institutional decision-making, operational efficiency, and service delivery. Guided by Rector's Decree No. 53.1/VI/2022, the university has implemented an integrated digital ecosystem that includes an institution-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for academic, human resource, procurement, and financial management; a Decision Support Dashboard utilizing predictive analytics to monitor student enrollment and retention trends; and a centralized data lake that consolidates institutional data for strategic planning and evidence-based governance. UMS further strengthens digital governance through the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, electronic signature (SiPAS) and paperless workflow systems, centralized web and network monitoring with real-time service level agreement (SLA) tracking, and continuous performance evaluation through KPI monitoring and system upgrades. In addition, the university promotes the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence by providing institutional access to Google Gemini AI for academic and administrative purposes. These initiatives collectively support a secure, integrated, and data-driven digital environment that improves institutional performance, enhances service quality, and advances sustainable university governance through innovative technologies.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) is committed to fostering a transparent, accountable, and ethical institutional environment through a comprehensive anti-corruption and integrity framework established under the Joint Regulation of the Rector and the Chairman of the Daily Board of Trustees No. 212.1/IV/2025 and No. 067/BPH/VII/2025 concerning Employee Disciplinary Regulations. The regulation promotes integrity by prohibiting bribery, gratification, abuse of authority, conflicts of interest, and the misuse of institutional assets, while also safeguarding academic and administrative integrity through strict sanctions against document falsification, academic fraud, and other unethical practices. To ensure effective implementation, UMS has established an Employee Disciplinary Enforcement Team responsible for receiving reports, conducting confidential investigations, and recommending disciplinary actions ranging from administrative sanctions to dismissal for serious violations. The regulation also strengthens institutional governance by replacing the previous 2024 disciplinary regulations, providing legal certainty through updated provisions, allowing the Rector and the Daily Board of Trustees to address violations not yet explicitly regulated based on recommendations from the University Discipline Commission, and enabling further implementing regulations when necessary. This integrated governance framework reflects UMS's zero-tolerance approach to corruption and reinforces a culture of integrity, professionalism, and accountability throughout the university.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has established a comprehensive complaint and reporting system to ensure a safe, inclusive, and accountable campus environment, particularly in the prevention and handling of sexual violence. This commitment is formalized through Rector's Decree No. 114.1/IV/2022 concerning the establishment of the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (Satgas PPKS) for the 2022-2024 period, which was issued in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation (Permendikbudristek) No. 30 of 2021. The decree mandates the Task Force to develop institutional guidelines for the prevention and handling of sexual violence, provide accessible and confidential reporting services for members of the university community, conduct regular awareness and prevention campaigns, collaborate with relevant institutions, deliver assistance, protection, and recovery support for victims, and submit periodic reports to the Rector to ensure institutional oversight and accountability. Operating directly under the authority of the Rector, the Task Force serves as the university's official mechanism for receiving complaints, coordinating case management, safeguarding victims' rights, and promoting a campus culture based on dignity, equality, and zero tolerance for sexual violence. This governance framework demonstrates UMS's commitment to establishing an effective, transparent, and victim-centered complaint system that continuously strengthens institutional integrity and campus safety.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) promotes digital literacy through an integrated ecosystem comprising the UMS Digital Library, information literacy training, global research database access, and the MySPADA Learning Management System. Students are equipped with essential digital competencies, including academic information retrieval, ethical use of information, plagiarism prevention, reference management, and responsible use of artificial intelligence. The university also provides access to leading international scholarly databases such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, Cambridge Core, Emerald Insight, PubMed, DOAJ, and Dimensions, while MySPADA supports paperless teaching and learning through online course delivery, assignments, discussions, and assessments. The regulation serves as a mandatory code of conduct for both academic and administrative staff, promoting integrity, professionalism, accountability, and compliance with university regulations and national laws. It explicitly prohibits bribery, discrimination, abuse of authority, academic misconduct, and the misuse of university resources while defining ethical responsibilities according to employees' roles.
