The Education Management course (2 credits, semester 2) is designed to equip prospective teachers with foundational knowledge and practical skills in managing educational processes and institutions. It covers essential principles of educational leadership, strategic planning, organizational systems, and resource management within school contexts. To ensure direct applicability, the learning methodology centers on interactive activities such as discussions, case study analyses, and problem-solving tasks, which simulate real-world challenges in educational settings. Through this applied approach, students not only grasp theoretical concepts but also develop analytical and strategic competencies to identify issues, design effective solutions, and contribute to the efficient and effective administration of educational institutions as part of their teaching profession. this course is embedded with the values of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan to shape a holistic Muslim personality. This commitment reflects the Qur’anic command in QS. Ali Imran (3): 104“And let there be arising from you a nation inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong...” By internalizing Muhammadiyah’s principles of Tajdid (reform) and Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar, students are expected to demonstrate professional excellence (ihsan) and social responsibility, embodying the Muhammadiyah identity as a progressive and modern Islamic movement.

  • Understanding and gaining insight into curriculum management, teachers and staff management, student management, and the management of educational facilities and infrastructure;
  • Understanding and gaining insight into curriculum management; teachers and staff management; student management; management of educational facilities and infrastructure; school financial management; and educational information systems management, as well as being able to manage information systems;
  • Understanding and gaining insight into principals, leaders, and leadership; educational supervision; and School-Based Management;
  • Understanding and mastering marketing in education, as well as supervision, monitoring, and evaluation.

Item Penilaian

  1. Participation & Discussion (5%): Active and critical engagement in class discussions and activities.

  2. Case Analysis & Assignments (25%): Quality of analysis, problem-solving, and application of concepts in case studies and individual/group assignments.

  3. Mid-Semester Assessment (30%): Written test or project evaluating comprehension of core concepts from the first half of the course.

  4. Final Semester Assessment (40%): Comprehensive written exam or final project assessing overall understanding and ability to synthesize course material.
