Intensive Reading is included in the macro skill, given in the first semester, and as a pre-requisite subject for taking Reading skill in the next semester, viz. in the second semester. The materials, vic. the written texts can be taken from any sources, but must be authentic ones. The practice of comprehending them can be made by the lecturers themselves, but it must remain to be correspondent to the teaching objectives. It can be in the form of incomplete sentences or questions based on the written texts. The concept of intensive reading and strategies of reading comprehension can be given before the practice. Criterion-referenced test (PAP) is used since it is as a pre-requisite subject.
