This course deals with ELT principles and English teaching techniques which discuss the basic principles of the English learning process and more specific English teaching techniques, for example how to teach each language skill (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and teach language components. (vocabulary and grammar), as well as other special teaching such as ESP, children, and large classes. Each of these teaching techniques will be discussed regarding the background, relevant theories, and implementation techniques in the classroom.

The Quran and Hadith emphasize the importance of language as a blessing from Allah, a means of communication, and a key to understanding Islamic teachings (Arabic). Verses such as Ar-Rahman (55): 1-4 highlight that Allah taught humans to speak, while the Hadith encourages mastery of language to gain knowledge and to avoid the evils of others.

• Students are able to apply the basic principles of managing learning (understanding learners) in EFL learning.
• Students are able to apply concepts in teaching language skills (such as teaching listening, speaking, reading, writing) and teaching specific English (such as teaching children, ESP, large classes), as well as language components (vocabulary, grammar).
• Students are able to evaluate approaches, methods, and techniques of learning English by teachers based on theories.
