Deskripsi

This course is a teaching exercise method designed to separate certain components of the learning process so that practitioners can master each of these components in simplified learning. This course discusses and practices the learning process in the classroom. The number of students is about 10, teaching time is about 10-15 minutes, lesson materials are limited and prioritized on certain teaching skills. The skills learned can be repeated with improvements so as to get the best results. So microteaching is an initial teaching exercise for prospective teachers by isolating the components of the teaching and learning process skills, so that prospective teachers master each component displayed one by one in a simplified situation under the guidance of a supervisor. After students have mastered teaching skills in isolation, they are continued with mastering integrated skills although everything is still the same as microteaching.

  • Students are able to explain the principles, components, and cycle of microteaching as well as identify core teaching skills to be developed
  • Students are able to design effective lesson plans with clear learning objectives that align with appropriate teaching activities and assessments
  • Students are able to demonstrate effective classroom management strategies and use appropriate teacher talk to maintain student engagement
  • Students are able to select and utilize suitable teaching media and digital tools to support and enhance the learning process
  • Students are able to perform microteaching sessions and provide constructive feedback to peers based on observed teaching practices
