Poetry is a compulsory subject for students. This course trains students to analyze and appreciate literary works in the form of poetry. Beginning with poetry reading, students are then invited to dig deeper into poetry and its builder aspects. Students will classify the aspects in the poem by explaining the meaning in these aspects. Students will also recognize various forms of English poetry such as: narrative, epic, ode, lyric, sonnet: Italian/Petrarchan Sonnet, English/Shakespearean Sonnet, elegy, free verse, Haiku. Students can also recognize the poetry writing techniques used by an author. Students, finally, will get to know various exposures used by the author for various purposes
