The Writing for Scientific Publication course is designed to develop students’ competencies in producing high-quality scientific articles suitable for publication in reputable national and international journals. The course covers the structure of scientific writing (IMRaD), effective abstract writing, critical literature review, transparent research methodology, data-driven results and discussion, academic referencing, and the use of digital tools for managing citations and avoiding plagiarism. It also introduces students to the publication process, including journal selection, ethical considerations, responding to reviewers, and strategies to prevent academic misconduct. In alignment with the values of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK), this course emphasizes academic integrity, honesty, and responsibility as essential components of Islamic character, encouraging students to view scientific writing as a form of intellectual worship (ibadah) and scholarly contribution (dakwah intelektual) for the benefit of society. Students are guided to integrate ethical, humanitarian, and Islamic perspectives into their research while using Artificial Intelligence responsibly and transparently to support, rather than replace, their intellectual work, reflecting the Muhammadiyah spirit of tajdid, knowledge advancement, and social transformation.
