Deskripsi
The Translation Teaching course aims to provide an understanding of translation theory, written translation practice, and the assessment of translation works, both from English to Indonesian and from Indonesian to English. By understanding translation theory, it is hoped that students will realize that translating is the transfer of messages from the source language to the target language, and therefore translation practice must be conducted to improve translation skills. In addition, this course also equips students with strategies and principles of communicative translation teaching, procedures and tools for assessing translation results and evaluating translator skills, and methods and materials for translation teaching, as well as strategies for correcting errors in translation. Students also learn the use of IT for translation teaching.
