Building the Nation, UMS Presents Awards to Its Alumni

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has expressed its appreciation for its alumni through the UMS Alumni Awards 2026. The awards were presented at the UMS Alumni Awards 2026 gala night, held at the Siti Walidah Main Building Hall of UMS on Saturday (1/8/2026).

The Head of the UMS Institute for Organizational Development, Cadre Formation, and Alumni Affairs (LP3A), Dr. Bambang Sukoco, S.H., M.H., said the UMS Alumni Awards serve as a form of recognition for alumni who have made their mark in various fields, while also serving as an occasion to strengthen the ties between fellow alumni and their alma mater.

"This event is to appreciate and gather back the alumni who have spread across Indonesia so they can return to contribute," Bambang said.

The Chair of the UMS Alumni Association (IKA), Dr. M. Aditya Warman, S.Psi., M.B.A., expressed his gratitude for being part of the UMS extended family. According to him, the campus is not only a place to pursue knowledge but also one that shapes the character and life values that continue to stay with every alumnus.

"I feel grateful because I was born at UMS," he said.

He also emphasized that lecturers and teachers play an important role as figures who guide and serve as role models for students. The values instilled during their time at UMS, he said, will continue to be a foundation for alumni as they work and serve the community.

Meanwhile, UMS Rector Prof. Dr. Harun Joko Prayitno, M.Hum. called on all alumni to work together to realize the spirit of "One UMS." According to him, the reunion and awards night serve as a space to unite hearts, energy, potential, and purpose in support of the university's advancement.

"UMS is growing and developing. In line with that, both its alumni and UMS itself will always be pioneers at the forefront," Harun said.

At the event, UMS presented awards to alumni recognized for their contributions and achievements in various fields. The recipients of the UMS Alumni Awards 2026 are:

Public Leadership Award: Dr. Fajar Riza Ul Haq, M.A.

Public Leadership Award: H. Rober Christanto, S.E., M.M.

Professional Excellence Award: Arsyadany Ghana Akmalaputri, S.T., M.M., QRGP., CRGP.

Professional Excellence Award: Dr. Edy Nurcahyo, S.H., M.H.

Innovation and Technology Award: Drs. Sudadi Sugi Wartowiyono, M.Si.

Outstanding Young Alumni Award: dr. Supandi Hasan, Sp.PD.

Global Alumni Award: Prof. Dr. Zakiyuddin Baidhawy, M.Ag.

Community Service Award: Puger Mulyono, S.E.

Distinguished Alumni Award: Wasino Hariyanto Dewaka, S.T.

Entrepreneurship Alumni Award: H. Ahmad Failasuf, S.E.
