To support environmental sustainability, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund distribution of the Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (IKA UMS) collaborated with Boemi Matahati and Sentul Innovation Centre to hold an environmental awareness event titled "Hijau Sentul Tanah Harapan, Hijaukan Desaku bersama SLANK."
Held on Sunday (29/12/2024, at Boemi Matahati Sentul, the event was enlivened by the legendary band SLANK, which fully supported this environmental movement.
This program aims to raise awareness of the importance of nature conservation and environmental greening. Various activities were carried out, including tree planting and educational sessions on environmental preservation.
The Chairman of IKA UMS, Dr. M. Aditya Warman, stated that this initiative is a form of social responsibility to make a real contribution to environmental conservation.
“This event is not just a ceremonial activity but a tangible manifestation of our concern for the future of the Earth, especially in Sentul, which has remarkable natural potential,” he said on Friday (3/1/2025)

The event was also supported by SLANK. SLANK’s bassist, Ivanka, expressed his pride in being part of this environmental movement. According to him, nature conservation is an essential part of the fight for the environment. “Music and real action must go hand in hand,” said Ivanka SLANK, who actively participated in the greening initiative.
The venue, Boemi Matahati Sentul, was chosen for its reputation as a center of innovation and tourism. The location provided facilities and full support for the success of IKA UMS’s environmental awareness campaign.
Through this initiative, IKA UMS hopes to raise public awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and greening efforts, which will bring long-term benefits to future generations.
IKA UMS also hopes that this movement will strengthen collaboration among various parties, including communities, businesses, and the general public, in maintaining ecosystem balance. The spirit of optimism and hope that this green movement will continue to grow is constantly echoed. The initiative is expected to benefit both the environment and society, serving as a model for other regions in Indonesia.
