The Sharing Love (SL) program is an initiative led by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Launched on May 29, 2022, the program primarily targeted the residents of Berjo Village in Karanganyar. The activities included distributing basic necessities and presenting attractive door prizes to show appreciation for the participating residents. The enthusiastic response from the villagers indicates a positive impact, aiming to provide substantial assistance, especially in light of the challenges posed by the post-Covid-19 pandemic situation.
The Sharing Love program, initiated by BEM Faculty of Medicine, aims not only to be an integral part of academic education but also to actively engage in humanitarian endeavors. The hope is that this initiative serves as an inspiration for both students and the local community to continue contributing to the well-being of others, creating a robust synergy between universities and society. The spirit of togetherness and a sense of care for social conditions is anticipated to endure through ongoing community service programs like Sharing Love.
