Incomprehensive Halal Certification

Prasetyo Adi Nugroho, the PPK Ormawa KMTM UMS team leader, expressed his hope that the MSME entrepreneurs participating in the event would complete the entire process of obtaining halal certification. He acknowledged that many MSMEs in Boyolayar Village, particularly micro-enterprises, had not pursued halal certification for their food products.

“We hope that MSMEs in the Boyolayar area can obtain halal certificates for their products so that they can be more competitive. For this reason, in order to help accelerate the halal certification, we conduct socialization and assistance like today,” Prasetyo explained.

Head of the UMS Halal Study Center, apt. Peni Indrayudha, S.F., M. Biotech, Ph.D. One of the speakers in the socialization activity explained how to get a halal certification, from filing the submission process to the final stage.

“I hope that the MSME players present here can make good use of this opportunity, considering that the development of halal products in Indonesia is already massive and fast,” Peni concluded. (Fika/Humas)
