The Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), Prof. Dr. Harun Joko Prayitno, M.Hum., served as one of the speakers at the Indonesian Higher Education Summit (KPPTI) 2025, a prestigious national forum that brings together rectors, university leaders, and higher education experts across Indonesia. The event, organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek), was held on 19–21 November 2025 with Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) acting as the host.

KPPTI 2025 was designed as a joint consolidation platform to share best practices, engage in dialogue on policy directions, and strengthen collaborative networks in building higher education that is adaptive, inclusive, and globally competitive.

On that occasion, Harun delivered material themed “Solutions for Health and Food” through a presentation titled PBB – Perguruan Tinggi Berdampak-Berkelanjutan (Medicine & Food) on Monday (21/11/2025).
