About Research Center Grant
Requirement
- Research Centers/Research Groups that have the Rector's Decree.
- The research center provides a brief description, including the background, scope of study, milestones, objectives, targets, and existing work programs. Each research center is eligible to submit one (1) proposal.
- There is a minimum involvement of four students in the research center's activities, preferably inter-program.
- The proposer is in accordance with one of the flagship sub-themes.
- Have collaborations or activities, both nationally and internationally, evidenced by correspondence or others.
Eligible Programs
There are two types of programs that can be proposed in the grant, namely mandatory programs and optional programs.
Mandatory Program:

| 2 | Roadmap and Proposal for the Next 3-Year Program | This program involves updating or creating a roadmap that aligns with and supports the university's flagship theme. The roadmap outlines the research plan for the next five (5) years, including an overview of collaborations with institutions at the national and/or international levels for the three (3) year period specified in the roadmap. | Explaining the program and collaboration with other parties. |
| 3 | Research and Downstreaming Proposals | This program is designed to offer guidance for research proposals and the commercialization of research products to university lecturers, emphasizing research areas aligned with the center's roadmap. One of the research proposals should be linked to the university's flagship sub-theme. The outcome of this program is a repository of research proposals ready for submission to internal UMS grants (Productive Innovative Research and Partnership Research), national, or international grants. Collaboration with researchers from various research centers within the university is MANDATORY for this program. | The quantity of generated proposals serves as an additional metric during monitoring and evaluation activities. |
| 4 | Collaborative Efforts | This program aims to expand collaboration with professional institutions or communities at the national and/or international levels, fostering potential partnerships in research, publication and commercialization of research products. It may involve collaboration with peers from international institutions through external partnerships. | Assistance in publishing in Scopus-indexed journals for lecturers within the Research Center. |
| 4 | Expanding Research Center Infrastructure | This program aims to provide the necessary facilities for the Research Center to support its management and administration. | For research centers receiving funding, they can collaborate with faculties or the UMS Research and Innovation Institute/office (LRI UMS) to submit requests for necessary facility support. |
| 5 | Capacity Building | This program is designed to improve the performance of the Research Center and its researchers through targeted training activities. Cost and Finance Component
The total amount of funds to be provided is a maximum of IDR 100.000.000 based on the reviewer's recommendations in accordance with the budget plan in the submitted activity proposal. The grant disbursement will occur in three stages: Stage I (40%), Stage II (40%), and Stage III (20%). For Stages II and III disbursements, the Research Center is required to showcase the program's performance from the previous stage, emphasizing the achieved outcomes.
Components of financing that can be budgeted include:
