The Communication Science Study Program at the Faculty of Communication and Informatics (FKI), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), successfully hosted the International Conference on Community Empowerment and Engagement (ICCEE) from January 3-4, 2024. The event, held both offline and online, featured an International Seminar as its first segment, with distinguished speakers including Muhammad Helmy Abdul Gapar from the Institute of Ethnic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Novi Kurnia, and Dr. Fajar Junaedi from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.

Following the seminar by the three speakers  on the theme “Media, Culture, and Communication in the Digital Society,” the event continued with the presentation of research results from lecturers and students. The presentations saw active participation from various domestic and international campuses, making it a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.
