Three students from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), are currently participating in the UMS Mobility Program for the March–July 2025 period at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).
The three participating students are Febriana Puja Anggrita, Qori'atul Hidayah, and Mada Nafas Ramadhani. They will attend regular lectures at UUM for one semester. Later, the courses they take at UUM will be converted into equivalent credits at the Faculty of Law, UMS.
Dr. Wardah Yuspin, S.H., M.Kn., Ph.D., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Law at UMS, stated that the program provides students with opportunities to engage in various cultural and social activities.
“The aim is to strengthen cross-cultural experiences and international networking, not just academics,” said Wardah on Wednesday (23/4/2025).
The UMS Mobility Program is a student exchange initiative that sends UMS students to various countries. The March–July 2025 exchange is part of the international collaboration between the Faculty of Law at UMS and the Faculty of Law at UUM
The program is expected to be the starting point of a long-term collaboration between the two law faculties, and also serve as an inspiration for other students to seize opportunities to study across countries and cultures.

Wardah also expressed her appreciation for the students' participation in the program. She believed that international experiences will enrich students' perspectives in the study of law.
“We also believe that UMS Mobility equips them with global competencies that are essential in today’s era,” she stated.
One of the UMS Mobility Program participants, Febriana Puja Anggrita, shared her memorable experience attending the “Eid Mubarak Celebration 2025” at Dataran Perdana, UUM, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The event brought together local and international students, lecturers, and academic staff to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
The celebration featured a food bazaar with traditional dishes from various ethnicities and countries, including specialties like rendang, nasi lemak, satay, and a variety of traditional Malaysian cakes. Accompanied by musical performances from countries such as Indonesia and Uzbekistan, the event became a deeply emotional and collaborative cultural stage.
“As law students who are usually preoccupied with theories and serious discussions, moments like this are a refreshing delight. It was here that we got to experience Malaysian culture in the warmest and most inclusive way,” said Febriana.
In addition to attending the Eid Mubarak Celebration, the UMS Mobility Program participants also joined an alumni sharing session. This agenda served as a platform to engage in discussions with UUM alumni from various countries.
The event provided additional insights while strengthening the international networks, which is one of the key missions of the mobility program. “We were able to discuss global career opportunities and international academic experiences with UUM alumni from around the world,” Febriana recalled.
