The Public Health Study Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), in collaboration with its alumni, organized a water charity to address the water crisis faced by Kamal Village. During the dry season, Kamal Village RT.01/RW.07, Dusun Tugusari primary water source experiences a significant reduction in water discharge, rendering it insufficient to meet the needs of its 60 households.
On August 12, 2022, the first water dropping began with 16,000 liters, followed by the next water dropping on August 15, 2022 with 8,000 liters, two water dropping on August 16, 2022 with 8,000 liters each, and the last water dropping on August 20, 2022 with 16,000 liters. This water charity action will continue until it reaches 15 tanks to help the community, which is predominantly elderly and affected by the migration of the younger generation.
