Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has signed a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Trade to cultivate globally oriented young entrepreneurs.
UMS Vice Rector V Prof. Supriyono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., explained that the partnership aims to encourage UMS students to export their entrepreneurial products.
"We are striving to develop young entrepreneurs who are globally oriented and capable of exporting goods," said Supriyono on Saturday (4/4/2026). He explained that the signing took place during the Campuspreneur kick-off event at Universitas Sebelas Maret on April 2, 2026.

Campuspreneur is an export-oriented youth entrepreneurship development program initiated by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with several universities across Indonesia. The program aims to develop students into exporters and young entrepreneurs.
According to Supriyono, the partnership will open opportunities for UMS students to participate in training and empowerment programs organized by the Ministry of Trade.
"Our hope is that UMS students will not only seek employment but also create job opportunities," he added.

In addition to the partnership signing, several UMS students showcased their entrepreneurial projects at Campuspreneur 2026. Four projects were exhibited: the Emotimu Board game, the fashion brand Kubik Society, the eco-friendly fashion line Ecograss Print, and Klanceng Edufarm honey.
The UMS students who developed each project attended the event. They had the opportunity to participate in consultation sessions or coaching clinics with consultants from the Ministry of Trade.
Emotimu Board team member Mohammad Ihsan said the coaching clinic was highly valuable for the further development of Emotimu Board. The training covered packaging design strategies, branding, and product awareness.
"Alhamdulillah, we gained many new insights to develop our product, which is still in its growth stage," Ihsan said optimistically.
